How to Hard Reset Lenovo A390

One of the most inconvenient issues of using a smart phone is that once you have entered the Passcode exceed the numbers of time allowed, you can’t do anything aside from hard resetting the phone to access the contents on the phone. This is no exception for your Lenovo A390.

So if your Lenovo A390 is now locked, use either of the two options below to hard reset the phone.

Note: Although, the case we recommended is for first time users/ ones with locked phone/ inaccessible phone/ or ones do not have much data on the phone. However, in cases you want to hard reset Lenovo A390 due to malfunction/ continuous lagging or unresponsiveness, then don’t forget to back up any important data before performing a hard reset because doing a factory/ hard/ master reset on your phone will delete all the apps you installed and your data settings completely.

Option 1: Using Settings menu. This applies for cases when you still can access the Settings app.

    Code:

Option 2: Using Flash tool and MTK65xx_Driver
If you can’t access the Recovery menu, let’s try this:

    1. Downloaded these necessary files:

Or you can also choose one of the separate tools below, in case you've already got one of the Driver/ or Flash, or Recovery Tool:
    - Driver:

    - Flash tool:

    - Recovery tool:

    2. Switch off the phone completely. Take out the phone battery.
    3. Install MTK65xx_Driver on your PC.
    4. Launch Flash Tool.
    5. Choose scatter-loading.
    6. Select MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt.
    7. Look for the downloaded recovery in the desktop.
    8. Choose OK.
    9. Click the Recovery button.
    10. Hit Download.
    11. Tap Yes.
    12. Now, use the USB cable to connect the phone with the PC. Your phone must be off.
    13. Wait until you see Flash Tool displays a Green status.
    14. Now, hit Power and Volume Up button until you see the Recovery mode appears.
    15. Next, use Volume keys to scroll the menu and Power key to confirm.
    16. Head to wipe data/factory reset.
    17. Hit Yes.
    18. Wait for Lenovo A390 to reboot its system.

Better try with WinXP systems the whole procedure. I tried in Win8 and couldn't succeed. Even in Xp, there is a finite time when you connect the USB cable, that the actual writing is done. Other times, its always failing.
